VANCOUVER – A B.C. man and his wife are donating their luxury home on Pender Island to the BC Cancer Foundation.
Robert Conconi was previously diagnosed with throat cancer and when he heard the news he remembered his own father who had died 30 years before of the same type of cancer.
Today Conconi is cancer free but he says he was so blown away by the care he received and the research taking place at the BC Cancer Agency that he and his wife Diane wanted to donate their home – Madrona Grove – for auction.
Madrona Grove is a southwest-facing waterfront property on a 4.42 acre piece of land. The home has an open concept design and 2,662 square feet of living space including a wrap-around sundeck.
The home has three bedrooms.
The home will be going up for auction on August 22 with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the BC Cancer Foundation to fund cancer research.
But you can buy it now for $1.425 million.
